Washington DC - Part Two

Our second day in DC we visited the International Spy Museum. That was a blast! We spent many hours checking out the displays. They make it very fun and interactive! You receive a badge, cover, code word and “mission” to do as you go through the museum. However did they know to give me the cover occupation of photographer?!?

They have a ton of cool gadgets and fascinating stories! You’ll find a lot of history in there! Of course I really enjoyed all the various tiny cameras that have been used over the years.

Check out this Bible! Isn’t that amazing!?! It blows my mind!

The name is Bond, James Bond…

That afternoon we had time to walk around the United States Capitol and past the Library of Congress and Supreme Court of the United States. They were working on the Capitol so you couldn’t see much of one side.

It was neat walking on the other side though! I don’t think I’ve ever seen it from that perspective before and it had some pretty fountains and flowers over there! I’m not sure we would’ve walked around if it hadn’t been for the construction, so in a way that was a gift!

The Library of Congress is a beautiful building! I will share pictures from inside in a future post. We had several readers in our group and were able to get tickets to visit a different day. I’m so glad we did! I’d never been before and it was really neat!!!

I love the architecture on all these old buildings! They’re pretty amazing!

Make sure to check back for part three of our DC trip!
