McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park

I loved every minute of our visit to Burney Falls! I have to admit this was one of my favorite locations on this trip! I could’ve spent so much more time exploring this Park! However, I didn’t have much time so we strictly visited the Falls. If you do have time there is plenty of hiking in the Park. The Pacific Crest Trail runs right through the Park!

Burney Falls stand at a 129 feet tall. The falls flow at a 100 MILLION GALLONS of water per day!

The water is the most beautiful blue you ever saw! Such a rich color!

We don’t have large waterfalls where I live, so this was a real treat for me!

There’s a great overlook of the falls near the parking lot. When you’re done being mesmerized up there, you can walk down to the foot of the falls.

There are plenty of places down by the rocky (basalt) shoreline to view and photograph the falls. The wind was blowing a little, sending tons of mist from the falls in our faces!

Here’s a little slideshow of these incredible falls!

Stick with me, we are nearing the end of our first day visiting Lassen! Next up you’ll see sunset and then stars!
