Jockey’s Ridge State Park

If you are looking for something to do in Nags Head, you should check out the Jockey’s Ridge State Park!

We visited Jockey’s Ridge shortly before sunset. They do close the park early, so we didn’t have much time and had to leave before complete sun down. As you can see, we were still treated to a beautiful pre-sunset show!

It is a really neat park. The park contains the largest sand dunes on the East Coast! Your legs can get a great work out hiking here! It’s also wonderful place to fly a kite, hang glide and even sand surf.

I loved the wonderful textures and patterns in the sand!

It was fun to play around with backlight to create silhouettes!

We’ll have to return to explore more another time!
