Shooting from Home

December 8

December 8

As I’m sure we’ve all learned this year, we can’t always get out and go looking for amazing photographic opportunities. I wanted to encourage you today to look for the beauty right where you are!

I noticed this incredible sunset one evening so I raced out my front door to capture it! There’s nothing picturesque about our neighborhood really but I think these clouds are great on their own!

Another morning I was looking for a morning light shot. We have this little circle mound in front of our house that consists mostly of dirt and two trees. I happened to notice all these little mushrooms popping up so I went out right after sunrise to play around a bit.

This post also reminded me of this image I shot a few months ago. This one is also right out in front of my house! These cute little flowers were growing right out of the sidewalk!

This final image is a moon dog I noticed just after arriving at home. Yes, there is a ton of light pollution in front of my home, but that doesn’t mean I can’t practice and shoot cool things anyway!

Look around you and see what neat things you can discover right where you are! You might be surprised with what you find if you just take a little time to notice!
